“I started this club because I enjoy Frisbee and I thought that others might like to try it,” says Christina.
Never existing on campus before, the club sparked the interest of many students of all grades.
“Frisbee is a great way opportunity to meet new people and have fun at the same time!” says Junior Vincent Tran, who likes to show off his skills whenever the club meets.
When Christina first thought of the idea, she immediately knew who would put it into action. Ms. Harrigan, a law studies and Spanish 2 teacher at Viera, supported the concept with no hesitation.
“Frisbee is a great way to get out of your comfort zone and make new friends,” she says. “You get to learn the rules and regulations of the game while having a ton of fun.”
Ultimate Frisbee club meets on selected Fridays in portable 6 after school, so put on your sneakers and toss a Frisbee this Friday!
