On April 3rd, the Living Museum took place in the media center from six to eight o’clock. It consisted of many students lined up in costumes as a famous person of their choice. When interviewed, students came up with great answers.
Katie Greene, a sophomore at Viera High School, chose Barbie for her “role”. When asked why she chose this person she states, “I’ve loved Barbie since I was a little girl.” I asked her what the most challenging part of putting her project together was. She exclaimed that it is “difficult counting how many different Barbies there are.” She dressed up alongside her Ken, played by her boyfriend Tyler Farlow.
Another student, going by the nickname SJ, played Kevin Hart. He chose this person because he believes he looks like him. He learned from this project that Kevin Hart was born in Philadelphia.
What is a costume contest without prizes? The top two winners get a gift card to Car Mike Theaters. This was won by Nathan Wilson (pictured) and Julissa Hurtado. A big congrats to them! The next three outstanding performances went to Logan Bosewell, Kelsey Lynch, and Tyler Henry. Also, Mikeala Keaton won five dollars to Planet Smoothie. Yum!
Overall, the Living Museum was a great experience and lesson for the students that participated.
